Stephanie joined Release as a Legal Adviser after working as a trainee caseworker at Turpin Miller, a legal aid firm in Oxford, where she assisted on immigration and asylum cases at both initial and appeal stages.
Before joining Release, she supported grassroots organisations focused on queer rights, feminism, and migrant justice. She holds an LLM in International Law specialising in Human Rights Law from Maastricht University and an LLB from the University of Kent, and she speaks fluent Portuguese.
Outside of work, Stephanie has provided welfare support for activist groups and completed training in trauma-informed care. She is passionate about tackling homelessness and ensuring people have access to compassionate legal advice.
